      <image:title>Home - Welcome to my practice.</image:title>
<image:caption>I am an NYU-trained, board certified psychiatrist in private practice in lower Manhattan. I use a number of psychotherapeutic modalities with a particular focus on psychodynamic psychotherapy. Where appropriate, I prescribe carefully tailored medication in conjunction with psychotherapy to help my clients meet their goals. I am experienced in treating a wide range of mental health problems including anxiety, depression, insomnia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, alcohol and other substance use disorders, PTSD, grief and interpersonal conflict. I work extensively with clients in the LGBTQ+ community and am well-versed in gender and sexuality issues. I was the founding director of the inpatient addiction consult service at Elmhurst hospital and have extensive experience in the treatment of addiction. I completed both my MD degree and Adult Psychiatry Residency at NYU School of Medicine, where I was chief resident. I also hold a bachelors degree in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College and a Masters of Business Administration from the NYU Stern School of Business. I am currently a psychoanalytic candidate at Columbia University. If you are looking for psychotherapy with or without integrated medication management, I encourage you to reach out by email or phone and to schedule an initial phone consultation. I look forward to learning about you and your goals, so that we can develop a personalized and intentional treatment plan.</image:caption>
